April 2021
It’s time to swing into action to support LRAA! The LRAA golf tournament will be here before you know it! On Wednesday April 21, join us at the Golf Ranch located at 3570 Waterview, Richardson, 75080. Registration starts at 4:30 with tee- off at 5:30. It will be teams of two on this fun nine-hole par 3 course. Registration is already open, and it does look a bit different this year. We are utilizing the same software that we used for our New Class silent auction. To access the site you should have received a text message last Thursday from a random number like 243725. Another text message will go out Friday. Once you click on that link, it will take you to the main page. You will see a blue box that says ‘Donate Now!’ Please click on this if you want to make a donation to LRAA, but you do not want to play golf or sponsor a hole. If you want to play or volunteer then click the ‘Menu’ button on the top left of your screen. This should take you to the screen where you can purchase a ticket to play golf, register to volunteer, purchase mulligans, and pre-purchase additional drink tickets. Golfers - remember we are doing teams of two this year. Sponsorships are available too. You can click “Sponsorships” after clicking the menu tab to see those options. If you need an invoice for you or your company’s sponsorship, please email Taylor.AmyW@gmail.com directly. We can definitely get you invoiced. Any questions about the course and golf, reach out to Dickie Watkins at DickieWatkins34@gmail.com. Any questions about volunteering, the text/website registration, or sponsorships, contact Amy Taylor at Taylor.AmyW@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you April 21! |

Updates from the City of Richardson:
Richardson Parks and Recreation COVID-19 Updated Policies
The City of Richardson announced new COVID-19 requirements for municipal facilities that went into effect Wednesday, March 10, 2021. The change in facility operations and use of protective measures are designed to conform to Executive Order No. GA-34 signed by Governor Greg Abbott relating to the opening of Texas in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The City continues to proactively respond to the presence of COVID-19 and its community transmission by requiring all City personnel to continue to wear masks/facial coverings when interacting with the public and while working in public facilities. Some operational changes at City facilities will also be maintained to safeguard people from COVID-19 risks following guidance from the CDC and other agencies. Further alleviation of protective measures will be reviewed as vaccination rates continue to rise.
Mask/Facial Covering Guidance For Municipal Facilities
While it is no longer a state requirement to wear a mask in public places, patrons at municipal facilities are recommended to wear face coverings over the nose and mouth wherever it is not feasible to maintain six feet of social distancing from another person not from the same household.
