The annual LRAA Golf Tournament looked a little different this year, but it was a swinging success!  The 9-hole tourney moved to The Golf Ranch this year.  Golfers didn’t let a late April cold front curb the enthusiasm.  Of course any event isn’t possible without the support of sponsors and volunteers.

A big thank you to all who helped make this a big hit for LRAA.

Usually, this space in the newsletter is dedicated to a Past President and their reflections on LR and their experiences in our community.  This month, we are saddened that the spotlight reflects on a very dear Past President who is gone way too soon.  As many of you know, Elizabeth Hart passed away unexpectedly on April 22.

Elegant Elizabeth was in Class 24 and served as President of LRAA from 2015-2016.  Because of her outstanding service in our community, Elizabeth was named Alumnus of the Year in 2017.   One of her greatest joys was serving in nonprofits including the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, The Susan G. Komen Foundation, Easter Seals of Greater Dallas,  The RISD Excellence in Education Foundation and The Richardson Woman's Club.  She was always the first to volunteer and to give to anyone in need. She had a true servant's heart. Elizabeth is survived by her pride and joy, her daughter Lexi.

Click here to read some special remembrances from fellow LR alums. Until we meet again, sweet friend.
