It’s hard to believe the year is winding down for the current class. They have one more class to go and then the join the official “Done Club”. The board has been busy working behind the scenes getting ready for the upcoming Golf Tournament, Leadership Development Series, and the Annual Meeting.

Richardson Youth Leadership enjoyed their Public Safety Day on April 6. Thank you to the Richardson Police and Fire Departments for creating a terrific educational and FUN day for students. These amazing student leaders will be recognized at the RISD School Board meeting on May 9th! Patricia is excited to lend her skills to continue RALC's growth and expand its impact on the community. "I'm looking forward to partnering with the staff, volunteers, donors, and board to enhance our services and expand our reach. More than ever, there is a great need for English-literacy skills and RALC is here to provide a very valuable service to the health and welfare of the community," says Patricia. Board President, Rane Burress shared "as much as we are saddened to see Sonali Patnaik accept another opportunity, we are looking forward to working with Patricia. The City of Richardson is hiring Lifeguards, Swim instructors and pool management. Apply today, all position starting wages have been increased to be more competitive! Incentives are available as well. Lifeguard positions need a Lifeguard certification through American Red Cross prior to being placed on payroll (can interview before obtaining certification though). This is a FANTASTIC way to experience the return of Wildflower. Volunteers review two free tickets and a parking pass. It would be wonderful if we could have 100% board participation in this event. Richardson Gymnastics center is hiring with a variety of available hours – daytime, evenings and weekends. We will train for the Gymnastics Instructor, who will teach recreational, beginner level classes. Gymnastic coaches must have a gymnastics back ground, but can be trained on proper coaching and teaching skills.
