Message from the LRAA President

Looky here! We are bumping up onto the spring break time of year. It is amazing, and sometimes shocking, just how quickly the time goes.

The current Best class, for example, is only three months away from graduation! Feels like only minutes have passed since we welcomed them to the Leadership Richardson family at the New Class reception. If you haven’t met some of the new class members, then make sure you drop by the Happy Hour on March 10 at the IQ.

Spring is the time of rebirth and growth. So it seems like the perfect time to release the new logo for Leadership Richardson Alumni Association.

The board approved the new logo at our last board meeting. It makes it’s official debut with today’s newsletter!

The goal was to have a logo that represents LRAA and can stand on its own while still uniting LRAA with the Richardson Chamber. This new logo incorporates the five pillars of leadership learned through LR and how, as graduates, we have risen like stars as servant leaders within Richardson and beyond. We hope you are as excited about the new logo as we are!

Have you checked out the new calendar feature on the LRAA website yet? This too has seen a much needed update. It is now a cleaner look that allows us to find upcoming events much easier.

Speaking of events there are still a few spots open for the upcoming FUNdraising parties. The St. Patty’s day party on March 18 is up first. Then on April 28 the current ROCs will be holding a selective soiree. Details are included with the event listing. Tickets for each event is $40 with the money going to RYL (Richardson Youth Leadership) and LRAA scholarships.

We also have our Leadership Development series continuing with two exciting events happening soon. The annual Breakfast with the Mayor session is on Thursday, March 16. Please go to the calendar and RSVP for the event. Your RSVP will allow us to plan for enough food for all attendees.

With so much happening there is no way that YOU can’t make at least one of the fun-filled, fantastic events. I look forward to seeing you there!
